Paramythia, Thesprotia – January 23, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

Alesco successfully inaugurated Greece\u2019s first modern, energy-autonomous ultra-fast electric vehicle (EV) charging hub, with a total installed capacity of 600 kW, located in Paramythia, Thesprotia. The project marks a new era for e-mobility and energy infrastructure in Greece, elevating technology from the level of urban mobility to a critical transport and logistics infrastructure.<\/p>\n

The hub was implemented by Alesco in collaboration with technology partner Huawei Digital Power and serves as a benchmark for energy autonomy, combining ultra-fast chargers, photovoltaic power generation and advanced energy storage systems. The energy produced on site is stored in batteries and utilized throughout the day, significantly reducing dependence on the electricity grid.<\/p>\n

According to Alesco\u2019s data, approximately 3,500 charging sessions per year – nearly 10 per day – will be carried out exclusively using 100% green, solar energy<\/strong>, substantially enhancing the project\u2019s environmental footprint.<\/p>\n

From passenger mobility to logistics<\/strong><\/p>\n

The existing station delivers up to 600 kW across five charging points, while an application has already been submitted for the installation of an 800 kW DC charger, expanding the network to include heavy-duty vehicles. In this way, the Paramythia hub broadens its role, serving professional fleets, heavy vehicles and freight transport, and evolving into a critical logistics infrastructure.<\/p>\n

The strategic location of Paramythia, with direct connectivity to the Port of Igoumenitsa, the Egnatia Motorway and the country\u2019s main road corridors, further strengthens the hub\u2019s role as an energy support node for both international and domestic transport flows.<\/p>\n

Statements<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Mr. Konstantinos Kyranakis,<\/strong> stated:<\/p>\n

\u201cToday confirms that Greece is moving steadily toward the modernization of its transport and energy infrastructure. Projects such as this one by Alesco demonstrate that e-mobility is not a plan for the future, but a reality being delivered today through expertise, partnerships and a clear strategy. The State actively supports such initiatives, as they contribute to sustainable development and strengthen the country\u2019s competitiveness.\u201d<\/p>\n

A project with long-term perspective<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Paramythia hub is one of twelve stations currently under construction as part of Alesco\u2019s broader investment plan to establish a nationwide ultra-fast charging network. At the same time, it serves as a foundation for the next phase of e-mobility, which includes charging infrastructure for heavy-duty vehicles and professional fleets.<\/p>\n
