In Ioannina, the company will undertake the supply and installation of two 22 kW public electric vehicle chargers at the municipal parking area of the Old Slaughterhouses. The installation marks the Municipality of Ioannina’s first pilot initiative in electric mobility and forms part of its participation in the European TERRAIN project.
The initiative aims to collect real-world operational data to support the planning and development of future sustainable mobility infrastructure in the city.
Alexis Stavrou, Chairman and CEO of ALESCO, stated:
“Fifteen years ago, we began ALESCO’s journey in Ioannina. Today, with a nationwide presence and extensive expertise in electric mobility, we have the opportunity to bring that experience back to the city where it all began. Our collaboration with the Municipality of Ioannina represents an important first step towards the development of public EV charging infrastructure in the city.”
In Kozani, ALESCO signed a contract with the Servia Local Land Reclamation Organisation (TOEB) for the supply and installation of a 499.82 kW photovoltaic array, expanding the Organisation’s existing installation.
The contract was signed in the Kozani Administrative Zone (ZEP), in the presence of Giorgos Amanatidis, Regional Governor of Western Macedonia.
“We are particularly pleased to mark the practical launch of our activities in Western Macedonia with a significant project that contributes to reducing energy costs and supporting the energy transition of the agricultural sector,” Mr. Stavrou noted.
These two new contracts reaffirm ALESCO’s growing presence across Greece, delivering projects that connect clean energy, electric mobility and the energy transition with the real needs of local communities.
